Performs the duty of ART and acts in a lead capacity in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Laboratory.
1. Performs all procedures in the A.R.T. Laboratory including ICSI procedure. Performs analyses, tests and procedures per established Laboratory standards, maintaining quality control of the subsection. Participates in the Quality Assurance programs of the Section. Investigates incident reports and implements associated corrective action.
2. Assists in the evaluation of new methodologies/equipment. Assists in the revision of policy and procedure manuals in accordance with specified guidelines.
3. Orients, trains, provides continuing education and guides lower graded personnel, other Laboratory and health care personnel, students and residents. Implements and maintains appropriate Laboratory safety procedures and practices.
4. Ensuresthatoptimumlevelsofsuppliesareavailabletoprovideuninterruptedservices.Informs Reproductive Biologist/Supervisor of any operational or technical problems.
5. Performs technical duties as assigned including weekends, night-shifts and on-call coverage.
6. Participates in and contributes to quality improvement activities.
7. Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as applicable.
8. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology is required.
Grade 9:
Two (2) years of related experience with Master’s or four (4) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Grade 10:
·Four (4) years as Embryologist at KFSH&RC.
·Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.
·One hundred (100) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME].
·Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
·Independently performed ? 50hands-on ICSI / embryo biopsy cases and demonstrates clear understanding of ART techniques.
