Role Purpose
The Extended Programs Assistant will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating various extended programs, managing scheduling logistics, organizing events, and assisting with teaching Physical Education (PE) classes as needed. The role will be to work as an active member of the team to ensure that the day to day running and development of learning at the NEOM Community School is carried out in accordance with the aims of the NEOM Education, Research and Innovation Sector. She/he will be accountable for upholding the aims and vision of the whole school in this phase and will support the work of the school in contributing to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
- Coordinate and schedule extended programs using internal platforms, ensuring alignment with academic schedules, the yearly calendar and curriculum objectives
- Organize and oversee events, workshops, and extracurricular activities, including logistics, communication with stakeholders, and coordination of resources
- Maintain accurate records of program attendance, participant feedback, and other relevant data to inform program evaluation and improvement
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, parents, and external partners to ensure the successful implementation and promotion of extended programs
- Support the development and implementation of new initiatives to enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of extended programs
- Work effectively in partnership with support staff to ensure consistency of learning for all children
- Attend all appropriate professional training and development in accordance with the school’s needs and aspects identified as outcomes of annual appraisal discussions
- Teach PE classes, providing instruction, supervision, and support to students during physical activities and games as needed
- Ensure that equipment in use is safe, hygienic and in a good state of repair, and continued maintenance of all PE materials
- Participate in Extra Curricular Activities, Athletics, and Extended Care daily
- All other duties as assigned

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALITIES
- Previous experience in program coordination, event planning, or teaching roles preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for working with students and supporting their holistic development through extracurricular activities.
- Have a mature, responsible and positive disposition and be able to work flexibly as member of the whole school team under the direction of the Head of School, Line Manager, and independently when required;
- Be open minded and willing to further their knowledge and development by attending training courses, sharing information gained with colleagues, and maintaining updated knowledge of best practices
- Exemplify high standards in practice and provision at all times
- Have up to date knowledge of Health & Safety regulations with specific reference to children's wellbeing, learning and facilities
- Have up to date and practical knowledge of best practice in learning and play materials and techniques which encourage children to have respect for differences in academic ability, cultural background, race and ethnicity
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL
B.ED/B.A in Sport, Physical Education and Health Education/Education (or equivalent)
DESIRABLE
Previous experience organizing and scheduling afterschool activities and/or athletics
MA/M.ED second degree or further relevant qualification
