Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to act as a key business partner and financial generalist in support of delegated business areas, including but not limited to:
- Facilitating all financial planning activities,
- Delivering management/other reporting of financial and non-financial information,
- Provide analytical support for management decision-making and business optimization.
All of the above executed with the objective of ensuring a high standard of financial management is upheld in the delegated business area.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Financial Planning Activities
- Work closely with business stakeholders including senior management on key financial planning activities:
- Budgeting and budget management.
- Forecasting and ad-hoc planning.
- Strategic planning and long-range modelling.
Reporting
- Produce management reporting and accompanying analysis as required:
- Management reporting – monthly and as required.
- Internal (Mgmt., Group) and External (BoD, shareholder).
- Work with business stakeholders to ensure a deep understanding of financials.
- Propose, develop, and implement innovative new ways of reporting leveraging dashboards and automation.
General support, Business partnering and special projects
- Take general responsibility to ensure planning, actualization and reporting of financial information is accurate, timely, meaningful, and act as a representative for your delegated business areas.
- General finance business partnering with delegated business area:
- Involvement in strategic initiatives / workstreams.
- Decision making support including ad-hoc financial analysis, commercial analysis and/or general execution support.
- Improvement and/or Implementation of systems, policies and procedures
- General partnership with finance team:
- Ensuring a seamless integration with various other finance functions (Accounting, Corporate finance, etc), including supporting execution of tasks and collaboration on initiatives.
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 7+ Years FP&A / Business Partnering or similar experience, (budgeting, forecasting and management reporting).
- Exposure to Commercial finance.
- Exposure to Accounting/audit.
- Exposure to financial modelling and interpretation of financial model outputs.
- Exposure to process/system improvement and implementation.
