Job Description
Overview of the role:
The Head of Retail will be responsible for Profit & Loss growth of Electric Mobility brand in the Saudi Arabia through implementation of a consistent and exemplary customer experience in line with the brand and Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility guidelines and customer journey, to deliver on the network performance in new car sales, certified pre-owned vehicle sales, financing and retail after-sales service as well as ensuring stock levels are optimised.
What you will do:
- Establish a world-class retail organisation and customer experience by implementing a retail sales strategy and proposition that leads to improvements in overall retail performance, customer loyalty and profit growth
- Drive the successful financial performance and customer satisfaction for retail via shared accountabilities with the Al-Futtaim Automotive and Emerging Electric Mobility Brand teams as well as Al-Futtaim financial services
- Provide Electric Mobility retail customers with an outstanding end-to-end customer journey according to the brand and Al-Futtaim guidelines and ensure the Retail team deliver a consistent retail experience through physical and digital channels
- Support and coordinate the development and implementation the Electric Mobility automotive brand digital experience (including e-commerce)
- Drive revenue and profit to achieve the budgeted target on net sales, gross margins, and net profit for the entire retail business in Electric Mobility including sales, service and parts ensuring stock levels are optimized
- Manage Electric Mobility brand specific Sales & Aftersales financial budgetary goals and forecasts
- Lead on penetration of service & extended warranty plans
- Drive a talent development system that creates retail professionals who are recruited correctly, developed, coached and engaged through performance management, learning, development and succession planning
- Drive performance of retail team through measurable Key Performance Indicators
Skills
Required skills to be successful:
- Expert knowledge of and experience in the retail automotive industry is essential
- Proven track record in establishing and driving best-in-class retail performance and customer experience in digital and/or high-end automotive dealerships/groups
- Commercial acumen – understands and has good grasp of the levers to improve Profit & Loss and retailing experience
- Previous experience in high-growth businesses and start-ups is highly preferable
About the Team:
This role will be reporting directly to the Managing Director – KSA and you will manage a high growth mindset team.
What equips you for the role:
- A business or university degree is preferred in Business, Engineering or Marketing. MBA from a globally recognized business school is highly preferable
- A genuine passion for customer experience and sustainability with a strong understanding of electric benefits in the Automotive industry
- Knowledge of the complete automotive business model and value chain.
- Has led rapid growth of brands into new markets including the set-up of Sales and Aftersales teams
- Has lead teams across a large region
- Proven track record in driving performance of automotive KPIs
- Sales expert
- Ideally has experience with Electric Mobility brands and/or luxury brands
- Ability to lead and motivate others through strong leadership skills, whether through direct line management or via a matrix setup
