About the job INFRASTRUCTURE AND DATA CENTER ADMINISTRATOR
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and maintain the company's infrastructure ( Dell products), including servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
- Responsible for upgrading firmware for Isilon and Dell Software
- Monitor system performance and reliability, identifying and resolving issues proactively to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect the company's infrastructure and data center facilities from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and security breaches.
- Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and testing to ensure data integrity and availability in case of emergencies.
- Install, configure, and update software and applications as needed to support business operations and IT initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new IT solutions, upgrades, and enhancements according to business requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to infrastructure and data center services, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and policies related to infrastructure and data center operations.
- Conduct periodic audits and assessments of infrastructure and data center environments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and IT staff, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems in a timely manner.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to infrastructure-related emergencies outside of regular business hours as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure or Data Center Administrator, with a minimum of 4 years in a similar role.
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in infrastructure and data center environments.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, VMware) are desirable.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize workload effectively.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Must be able to speak Arabic and English
