• Role Purpose

• Demonstrate technical leadership in overseeing Fire Safety assigned roles and responsibilities.
• Be effective team member of Fire Safety Professionals and Engineers to provide a comprehensive, risk based, cost effective fire safety engineering compliance.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, hazards, business vulnerabilities and reduce their impacts, as well as the development of compliance audits to ensure effective documentation and implementation for fire safety developed strategies.
• Develop and ensure the implementation and enforcement of Neom Public Safety standards and procedures.
• Conduct engineering design review, Also, ensuring all Neom projects are in compliance with latest Saudi Building codes, IBC, NFPA and other relevant codes and standards.
• Ensure materials specified for Neom projects/facilities are approved in compliance with Fire Safety and relevant codes and standards.

• KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

• Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and contribute to manage Fire Safety Compliance function to ensure compliance with applicable code and standards.
• To ensure a consistent approach for risk mitigation and register.
• Ensure review and approve the design of Fire Protection (passive and active) Systems.
• Provision of expert advice, clarifications and interpretations of relevant fire safety engineering codes and standards and policies, so these are implemented consistently and effectively to provide world class compliance with code life safety for the facilities.
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentation to management to justify project or additional resources.
• Participate in providing technical expertise on code compliance and fire and evacuation modeling.
• Engagement of SMEs in global industry networks and forums in Fire Safety Engineering codes, standards, fire safety systems (passive and active).
• Coordination for the planning, execution, evaluation and improvement process of fire safety compliance audits.
• Review and approve all Fire & Safety systems specification and pre-qualification.
• Review and provide continuous improvement of Neom Fire Safety Engineering policies, procedures, forms and documentation.
• Provide technical support on-job training for fresh graduate/specialist engineers.

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Technical leadership and analytical capabilities.
• Strong experience and knowledge on related codes and standards such as Saudi building codes, IBC, IFC and NFPA.
• Good knowledge and Experience in Fire Safety design as per code and standards, risk assessments and safety in design.
• Strong influencing and communication and interpersonal skills combined with a sound strong technical background in relative codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have Bachelors in Fire, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in fire safety is preferred.
• Relevant years of experience in the field of fire safety & fire protection engineering design.
• NFPA or equivalent recognized training and certifications.
