Summary

This position is responsible for to fulfil the local demands for import and export, local transport, delivery and follow up of intercompany orders.


Job Responsibilities
  • Creation of Shipping Documents (Commercial Invoice, Packing list etc).
  • Knowledge of customs regulations in Saudi Arabia.
  • Goods Receipt & Goods Issue (In SAP).
  • Manage stock report and identify and discrepancies.
  • Provide Follow up to internal & external customers.
  • Manage 3rd Party Freight Forwarders & Courier Service Providers.
  • Expediting Purchase Orders & Shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work to resolves questions / concerns regarding shipments and deliveries.
  • Work to improve the freight budget for the project and 100% delivery on time.
  • Work closely with planning / scheduling, supply chain management & projects personnel to prepare, execute and follow shipping plans for project materials and other supply chain initiatives.
  • Keep internal customers updated of deliveries.
  • Check and approve international documents for import and export.
  • Process and monitor intercompany orders.
  • Evaluate costs and quotes for international freight.
  • Complete all work in compliance with company and customer’s policies and procedures for HSSE.
  • Support the Warehouse team with import process status.
  • Open and follow up NCRs.
  • Be guided by HMH Visions and Values in all activities.
  • Solves complex problems.
  • Works independently; receives minimal guidance.
  • May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
  • Takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Business discipline ​ from an accredited university or college.


Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics. Previous Middle East experience is preferred. Good knowledge of local customs, laws and regulations. Good knowledge in international freight forwarding and shipping. Basic understanding of international customs laws. Previous experience with EPC contractor or industrial manufacturing. Previous experience in SAP. Previous experience in Logistics Contract development, management and administration. Knowledge of inventory management practices and principles.


Desired Characteristics Knowledge of business administration, management and financial principles. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with purchasing techniques.


Skills and Abilities: In-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. Knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with outside vendors. Competent with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Proficient in written and reading comprehension of English & Arabic is preferred. Ability to focus on and bring to conclusion to multiple tasks. Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative. Ability to pre-empt situations and react positively. Organized and methodical, high integrity and ethical values. Ability to negotiate and communicate at all levels to coordinate tasks effectively between different departments.
