Job Purpose

Monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve quality and safety of food throughout the production and distribution process in order to meet established quality standards.




Key Accountability Areas

Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of raw materials, ingredients, and finished food products.


Perform microbiological and chemical testing to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.


Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality control activities.


Investigate and address customer complaints and product recalls related to food quality.


Develop and implement quality assurance and food safety protocols.


Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming ingredients and materials.


Train and educate production and staff on food safety and quality standards.


Stay up to date with food safety regulations and industry best practices.


Identify areas for process improvement to enhance food quality and safety.


Conduct audits of production facilities and suppliers to assess compliance.


Manage and analyze data related to food quality and safety.


Assist in developing and maintaining quality control procedures and policies.


Communicate and report food quality and safety issues to management.


Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality-related challenges.


Coordinate with regulatory agencies for inspections and compliance.


Monitor and evaluate the performance of food quality control equipment.


Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with food safety standards.


Continuously strive to improve and optimize food quality assurance processes.
