Painter

Job Purpose:

- painters prepare surfaces of vehicles, match and mix colours and apply paint to create a professional finish. They

may paint new or damaged cars or apply designs or signs. The work is usually in garages or vehicle repair

workshops.

Responsibilities:

• Must have good knowledge in mixing of chemicals.
• Experience in using spray gun.
• Must have knowledge on scrapping the paint off the surface of vehicle.
• Apply touch ups or second coats.
• Knowledge to handle operating system in the paint booth.
• Cover the surface with plastic / cloth to ensure protection from dirt.
• Forecast and confirm the outcome of the percentage finished work.
• In the absence of the spray gun, manual painting work must be done.
• Finish must not be compromised even though the work is done manually.
• Several coatings of paints according to directions.
• Work must be done on a completely solution based approach to ensure there is minimum faults or repeat services.
• Willing to work in field and workshop
• Suggest parts quality periodically
• Support process and service improvement
• Keep the work area neat and clean
