Job Description

Overview: As a Production Engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the smooth operation of production lines. Your responsibilities will include identifying areas for improvement, implementing process enhancements, and troubleshooting issues to meet production targets and quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to drive continuous improvement and enhance overall manufacturing performance.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Optimization:
  • Analyze existing production processes, workflows, and systems to identify opportunities for optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction.
  • Develop and implement process enhancements, automation solutions, and workflow modifications to streamline production operations and maximize throughput.
  • Production Planning and Scheduling:
  • Collaborate with production planners and schedulers to develop production schedules, allocate resources, and prioritize work orders to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
  • Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to production schedules.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to monitor product quality, identify defects or non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain quality standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective measures to address quality issues and improve product reliability and consistency.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Collect and analyze production data, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Reliability:
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure the reliability and uptime of production equipment and machinery through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, equipment calibration programs, and spare parts management strategies to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.

  • Training and Development:
  • Provide training and guidance to production operators and technicians on new processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development among production teams to enhance capabilities, improve efficiency, and promote a culture of innovation and excellence.
