Regional Chief Technology Officer

General Overview:

We have been mandated by a large, well established Insurance company for the role of Regional Chief Technology Officer in Riyadh, KSA. The successful candidate will be pivotal in driving innovation and overseeing the organization's local technology strategies, ensuring the successful implementation of technological solutions across the Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring technological advancement and operational efficiency in the insurance sector.
  
• Provide leadership to local technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  
• Direct, mentor, and manage the technology professionals across various regions.
  
• Oversee the implementation of technology solutions, ensuring their alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.
  
• Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure including networks, servers, hardware and software systems, ensuring they provide technological and operational resilience.
  
• Oversee the management of key local tech vendors monitoring and measuring delivery performance versus contractual KPI, KRI and SLAs.
  
• Partnering with Group Infrastructure team, oversee the local helpdesk and IT service delivery within KSA.
  
• Develop strategic partnerships with the Group Technology function to help foster culture of innovation, focus and quality of the delivery teams.
  
• Foster strategic partnerships with vendors, startups, and industry experts to bring innovative solutions and technologies to enhance the company’s services and products.
  
• Ensure robust cybersecurity measures and regulatory compliance across all technology systems and platforms within KSA in adherence with local, regional and enterprise policies, standards and controls.
  
• Identify and mitigate potential technological risks and challenges that could impact the company’s operations, offering proactive solutions and risk management strategies.
  
• Manage technology budgets and resources effectively, optimizing expenditures while driving technological advancements in the region.
  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields. MBA or advanced business degree is a plus.
  
• Proven experience (15+ years) in technology leadership roles within the insurance or financial services sector, with experience gained in a multinational company being an advantage.
  
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  
• Ability to inspire and lead diverse teams across different locations.
  
• Deep understanding of the insurance industry in KSA, technological trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies relevant to the sector.
  
• Experience with Health insurance preferred.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with stakeholders, build relationships, and negotiate contracts with vendors.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address complex technological challenges and drive innovative solutions.
