Senior Financial Controller – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Role Summary: The Senior Financial Controller will serve as a pivotal member of the finance team. Leading a team of financial experts, the Senior Financial Controller will collaborate closely with senior management to ensure the company’s financial health and sustainable growth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation of precise and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial performance and market trends.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating closely with department heads to establish realistic and attainable financial targets.
• Develop long-term financial forecasts and scenarios to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
• Monitor budget performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve financial goals.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Implement controls to prevent errors and fraud, and optimize payment terms to enhance cash flow.
• Develop and maintain robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure timely resolution of any audit findings.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and other relevant laws, and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity to support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
• Optimize working capital management strategies to maximize cash efficiency and minimize financial risk.
• Monitor banking relationships and recommend appropriate financing options as needed.
• Identify and assess financial risks facing the company, including market, credit, and operational risks.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize exposure and safeguard the company’s financial interests.
• Coordinate with internal audit teams to ensure timely completion of audit processes.
• Review audit findings and recommendations, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Monitor the effectiveness of internal controls and suggest enhancements to mitigate risks.
• Supervise and mentor a team of financial professionals, offering guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth.
• Cultivate a collaborative and results-oriented work environment that fosters accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Certifications like CMA, CGMA, CFA, CPA, etc. are a must
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
• Experience within a listed company at
Tadawul (Saudi Stock Exchange) or within a Big 4 handling the account of a listed company at
Tadawul is a must.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and systems, with expertise in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Commitment to integrity, ethics, and professionalism in financial management.
• Proficiency in Arabic is a must.
