Job Description

Company is creating an enabling ecosystem for yachting sector as it is operationalizing two key business lines i) Bunkering (Yacht refueling) and, ii) Yacht repair and maintenance.


Years of experience – 7-12 years


Professional experience – Candidate should have -


·         Broad experience of managing commercial operations. Proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies.


·         Experience in managing contracts, Vendor Management, and Inventory Management.


·         Experience of interacting with personnel at both leadership and operational levels.


·         Experience in mapping and managing stakeholder expectations and maintaining clear stakeholder communication.


·         Experience in the yachting industry is not a must but will be preferred. In absence of yachting experience, experience in shipping (especially in managing bunkering operations) will also be highly relevant.


Scope of Work -


·         Managing the day-to-day operations of Yachting Ecosystem’s commercial activities including, but not limited to, Bunkering (Yacht refuelling) and Yacht repair and maintenance.


·         Manage operators engage both above business lines.


·         Tracking service levels. Understanding the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the Contracts of the Operators. Map the performance against the KPIs monthly and suggest actionable for the Operator or Employer based on the assessment outcomes.


·         Review and endorse the Progress Reports submitted by the Operators.


·         Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment.


·         Approve payments to Operators based on the Progress Reports. Understand the revenue generated by the Facilities and the impact on the payouts by Employer, if any.


·         Interface between the Operators and Employer departments or other Operators for regular operations – Energy, Water, Discarded Materials, Waste, Finance, Marina Operator etc.


·         Monitoring customer satisfaction levels to ensure that standards are being met.


·         Developing plans to improve the performance of commercial operations. Implementing new methods of operating commercial facilities to increase efficiency and productivity. Evaluating new technology applications that could improve business operations or processes.


·         Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; manage/schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions.


·         Work with the inventory managers and teams to maintain inventory data, perform analysis of inventory and ensure utilizing inventory effectively.


·         Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at stakeholder meetings.


·         Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; customer-service standards; complete audits; identify trends.


·         Serve as the primary point of contact for all commercial operations, interfacing with stakeholders as needed to ensure successful operations.


·         Develop and manage relationships with key customers and other partners.


·         Oversee the creation and maintenance of accurate customer databases. Analyze customer data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.


·         Assist the Employer in the planning of scaling up of the activities – Bunkering and Repair and Maintenance.


·         Determining staffing needs based on workload requirements and assisting the Employer in defining the requirements.


·         Responsible for identifying problems, developing solutions, and solving problems that arise.
