Job Description

Position:  Senior Manager Rooms Operations


Reports to: Regional Head of Hotel Operations


Sector: Hotel


Job Location: NEOM


Role Purpose:


The Senior Manager Rooms will determine all processes and standards for Concept+ Hotels.  The individual will work closely with the technology, data, robotics, and logistics teams to determine new, innovative and efficient solutions to deliver outstanding service to our guests and productivity and profit for NHD Hotels.  By fostering a far more efficient model in conjunction with the NHD Team, create good jobs in hospitality which are rich, challenging, rewarding, and that are paid competitively.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all rooms division departments, including housekeeping, front office, reservations, and guest services.
  • Drive innovation and new ways of running traditional hotel enterprises including rethinking how check in, room cleaning, check out, linen treatment, reservations, call centre and more will work.
  • Work with our HND teams and leading experts to leverage emerging technology to radically increase guest experience with significantly fewer resources.
  • Grow and educate an operations team that works
  • Determine how key rooms and operations processes will work for Concept+ Hotels and aid THE LINE Proponent in thinking through how we will help HMA hotels on THE LINE.
  • Determine how we can measure all key processes and moments of truth as part of our System of Intelligence to consistently and aggressively drive all KPIs.
  • Work with Regional Head and other SMEs to build a Lean culture of continuous experimentation and improvement for Concept+ Hotels and NHD overall.
  • Collaborate actively and widely with all stakeholders both inside and outside NHD to build agreed processes and technology, synergy, communication, and aligned ways of working resulting in synergy, alignment, and a positive image of NHD with other key NEOM stakeholders.
  • Work with NHD and other Sector teams to create minimum viable products and test technologies, and processes as quickly as possible.

  • Determine optimum staffing model based on advanced technologies, processes, and Concept+ including planning on how roles will change as technology advances.
  • Create an entrepreneurial culture that thrives on learning, experimentation and constant improvement which is aligned with NHD values and principles.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


  • Senior operations leadership roles in large complex environments with deep knowledge of rooms and housekeeping.  This individual should have been on the Exec Committee for a large complex asset and ideally been a
  • Demonstrated ability to drive constant improvement on all KPIs.
  • Experience running an operation in a human resource starved environment.
  • Track record of innovation in all areas of operations and a growth mindset.
  • Track record of constant team development including the adoption of new technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Strong familiarity with Lean processes a strong asset.

Qualifications:


Degree qualified: Bachelor’s or ideally Master’s degree in an applicable field
