About the Role

Media.Monks is seeking a bi-lingual Arabic/English speaking Social Strategist located in Riyadh, to be responsible for executing and planning the best practices in Social Media for one of our biggest clients in the Middle East. This is a role where you will be responsible for being part of a diverse and fast-paced set of projects from beginning to end, including hands-on project management, ad hoc social media consultation, building strategic recommendations, monitoring & optimisations of strategies.  


Additionally, our ideal candidate is a fast and flexible go-getter who jumps on new opportunities.


Responsibilities:
  • Development of digital content strategies, based on the understanding of each client's brand message, voice, objectives and target audiences. Mainly focused on new business.
  • Creative and strategic input in digital projects for designated clients.
  • Work closely with brand marketing managers, to execute strategies for B2C and B2B as needed.
  • Supervision and support of Content and Community Management teams, as they relate to the strategic objectives.
  • Monitoring and auditing of Social Media strategies for current clients, as part of the continuous optimization process.
  • Analysis of the results obtained from the different reports of the analytical and monitoring tools for continuous optimization of the account.
  • Monitoring trends in social networks to keep the different platforms updated, not only with the content, but also with the strategy.
  • Collaborative work with the data team, in the development of crisis management and control documents.
  • Collaborative work with Operations, Data, Planning and Creative areas teams across the globe.
  • Take the lead when needed in front of the clients where you will provide the valuable strategic POV.
  • Nothing, not even a small detail escapes from you as you are well organized and have an eye for detail.
About YouThe essentials:
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a social strategist.
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of the Social Media environments, formats, and trends.
  • You’re skilled in building a Social media strategy and set roles for social media platforms.
  • You understand digital audiences and their behaviours.
  • Develop digital ecosystems and find opportunities in emerging and new platforms.
  • Develop consumer journeys and have the skills to clearly articulate your findings and opportunities in excellent storytelling.
  • Digital paid media environments.
  • Social commerce environments.
  • You know how to measure success and which metrics are the valuable ones according to objectives, digital channels, and formats.
  • Reading qualitative and quantitative data and clarity to recognise valuable findings in a sea of data.
  • Develop strategic thinking, but you also identify when tactical thinking is the way to go.
  • Used common research and analysis tools such as Sysomos, Statista, Global Web Index, Facebook Insights, Socialbakers and other listening tools.
Not a must, but a plus:
  • Play along and develop empathy and commitment between the internal teams.
  • Great verbal skills and people get your point without gibberish.
  • Fast thinking and you have experience in working within accelerated client dynamics.
  • Excellent spelling, writing and mastery of writing rules, syntax in Arabic and English.
  • Curious and attentive to popular culture to learn about trends.
  • Aware of your personality strengths, but also you are humble enough to identify your weaknesses.
