Role Purpose
The Cybersecurity Specialist’s responsibilities include using their skills to detect insecure features and malicious activities within our networks and infrastructure. They will implement customized application security assessments for client-based asset risk, and corporate policy compliance as well as conduct vulnerability assessments. They should have an advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth, and common security elements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Key Responsibilities:
- Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
- Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
- Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
- Stay current on Information Technology (IT) security trends and news.
- Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
- Perform penetration testing.
- Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management.

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication, IT technical and inter-personal skills.
- High level of accuracy in written and spoken English.
- Cultural sensitivity, tact and understanding of Saudi and Islamic culture, and an instinctive ability to deal with situations where cultural differences or misunderstandings may occur.
- Ability to deal with people of different nationalities.
- A high level of discretion and professional integrity.
- Ability to work to deadlines and in high-pressure situations.
- Savvy with a natural ability to deal with Saudi stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds, military, security, official, VIP, civilian, academic, religious.
- Fluency in Arabic; Modern Standard Arabic (oral, aural, written) and Saudi Colloquial Arabic.
- Knowledge of other languages (desirable)
Qualifications
- IT Bachelor’s Degree, IT Diploma or equal.
- Relevant years’ experience in Cyber Security Specialists role.
