Job Description
- Develop detailed structural designs, calculations, and specifications for a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure developments.
- Conduct structural analysis using industry-standard software and tools to assess the performance and integrity of designs under various loading conditions.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to incorporate structural requirements into overall project designs and plans.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance during the design and construction phases of projects, including site inspections and structural assessments.
- Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Participate in design meetings, presentations, and client consultations to communicate project requirements, progress, and recommendations effectively.
- Perform structural calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, constructability, and sustainability.
- Stay current with advancements in structural engineering technologies, materials, and methodologies to continuously improve design practices and deliver innovative solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support to project teams, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the organization.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports related to structural designs, analyses, and project deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification in structural engineering.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in structural design engineering, with a focus on projects within the GCC region.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations in the UAE, including DM, ADNOC, and ADWEA guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality structural designs on schedule and within budget.
