The role of a Technical Project Manager (PMC) is crucial for the successful execution of projects. The person is responsible for overseeing and managing various technical aspects of construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.


 Job Responsibilities:


1.  Project Planning:


   - Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.


   - Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.


   - Identify and allocate resources required for the project.


2.  Team Management:


   - Build and lead project teams.


   - Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members.


   - Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.


3.  Technical Oversight:


   - Ensure compliance with construction standards and regulations.


   - Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.


   - Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other technical experts.


4.  Risk Management:


   - Identify and assess potential risks and issues.


   - Develop risk mitigation strategies.


   - Implement contingency plans as needed.


5.  Budget Control:


   - Monitor project costs and expenses.


   - Track and manage project budgets.


   - Implement cost-saving measures when necessary.


6.  Quality Assurance:


   - Establish and enforce quality control processes.


   - Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards.


   - Address and resolve quality issues promptly.


7.  Communication:


   - Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.


   - Facilitate regular project meetings.


   - Ensure effective communication within the project team.


8.  Client Relations:


   - Liaise with clients to understand their requirements.


   - Provide updates on project progress and address client concerns.


   - Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction.


9.  Schedule Management:


   - Monitor and manage project timelines.


   - Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes or delays.


   - Ensure timely completion of project milestones.


 Requirements:


1.  Education:


   - Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.


   - Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are preferred.


2.  Experience:


   - 15+ years of experience in project management, particularly in mega construction projects.


   - Familiarity with construction processes, materials, and methods.


3.  Technical Knowledge:


   - Strong understanding of construction, design and engineering principles.


   - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.


4.  Communication Skills:


   - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


   - Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


5.  Leadership Skills:


   - Strong leadership and team management capabilities.


   - Ability to motivate and guide a diverse project team.


6.  Problem-Solving Skills:


   - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


   - Ability to make decisions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


7.  Organizational Skills:


   - Effective organizational and multitasking abilities.


   - Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.


8.  Computer Skills:


   - Proficiency in project management software.


   - Familiarity with relevant construction software and tools.


9.  Regulatory Knowledge:


   - Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.


10.  Adaptability:


    - Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and conditions.


    - Flexibility in dealing with unexpected challenges.
