Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILTY & AUTHORITY:
To perform inspection services of OCTG and drilling equipment Perform inspection services at on/offshore installations and customer locations within KSA and GCC territories. Perform Tubular running services of GRE TK Lining operations and GRE TK Lined tubing Installation. Able to oversee inspection services in accordance with API and DS1 procedures. Responsible to compile inspection reports / daily time sheet using the NOV databases. Ensure all work equipment is used as per the manufacturers’ guidelines, it is maintained in a safe condition and report any deficiencies. Perform duties in accordance with QA, HSE, company procedures, instructions & guidelines. Maintain high standard of housekeeping within work area. Report job progress on daily basis to supervisor
BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Experience in OCTG, drilling equipment inspection and non-destructive testing services Minimum High School Graduate with previous certification in NDT disciplines. Able to read and interpret inspection procedures and standards in English. Minimum three years of relevant work experience. Must be able to communicate in English. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel, Word, etc.
Qualifications (Education/No. of Years of Experience):
Minimum High School Graduate Previous certification in magnetic particle testing, liquid penetrant testing, visual testing, electromagnetic inspection, and ultrasonic wall thickness testing Minimum three years of relevant work experience. Past exposure to drilling rig / hoist operations Must be able to communicate in English. Good Understanding of the Codes and standards along with basic knowledge about the Quality Management system standards
Health, Safety and Environment:
Valid PDO HSE / H2S Passport / Card holder
To follow the NOV HSE policy and procedures, safe system of work, local requirements.
Use properly and maintain the tools and personal protective equipment provided by the company.
Report unsafe acts & conditions, workplace incident to the supervisors & HSE dept.
Follow instruction from supervisors. If in doubt, ask questions. Never commence work without ensuring that work can be done safely. Strictly observe “permit to work system.”
Know emergency procedures (Emergency Numbers, Assembly point etc.)
Attend Toolbox talks, HSE training and HSE meetings.
