Since i have graduated from the faculty of English Language & Literature,my answer will be the following:

1.Read! Read anything comes to your hands whether its a newspaper, book ,magazine,etc....

2.Improve your speaking skills by talking to native speakers and if you're lucky enough, travel or intern abroad for few months!

3.Don't read the subtitles of movies. Just don't! Challenge yourself by trying to guess the meaning of what you're hearing. As times passes, you'll find yourself able to understand English without the need to read the subtitles

There are also some courses in great universities like AUK or even the British Council's language courses.Yet,if you are not willing to work hard on your language skills, dont waste your money!

Last but not least, improving your language skills comes with practice. So the more you use the language, the better you will be!

As I mentioned earlier in answering others' questions, you have to keep practicing and to bear in mind that I can master English and achieve my objective easily. Here are the most important steps that you have to follow:

1- Read different texts and material in English. In other words, read as much as you can.

2- Try to use, speak, write and practice English constantly.

3- All people commit mistakes, so don't give up at all.

4- Talk to native speakers once and whenever you can (avoid that in official meetings that result in serious decisions).

5- Any step in writing is better than nothing, so write in English and ask experienced people to correct and help you (face to face is better).

All the best....

For literature it is simple, Reading is the best.

For the language itself you will have to practice more, try to find a language partner in the nearest college or university, or sign up for a conversation club or any equivalent where you can practice the language.

Another way to combine both would be Poetry clubs or gathers, it will definitely enhance your ability and gives you more confidence.

the most important thing in my personal opinion is never give up hope, it would be difficult in the beginning but eventually it will become a habit you can never get rid of, which is amazing.
