The Role

The People & Culture team is responsible for fostering our culture, living our values of Innovate, Elevate, Celebrate and providing strategic support to our international organization for all people related matters, ranging from hiring, organizational development, performance management, people relations & engagement, to team and leadership development. 
This role is based in Türkiye alongside the majority of our P&C Team. Picus is a remote first company with offices in Ankara and Istanbul, so time spent on a regular basis within these two locations to bring energy and support to our Picusers is a must.  This role will report to the VP, People & Culture based in the UK.

What you’ll do


  • Be the People & Culture Leader in Türkiye building strong relationships with our local team, shaping the atmosphere and creating the very best environment for our Picusers. 
  • Build strong relationships with our Cofounders, CEO Office, VP, People & Culture and Leadership & Management team, creating true partnerships and collaboration in delivering our company objectives.
  • Be the trusted advisor to the VP, People & Culture on Turkiye local related matters and support the VP, People & Culture on international matters where required. 
  • Be a leader who trusts, coaches, empowers and develops the People & Culture Team, based in Turkiye, to be the best version of themselves, foster a company culture we are proud of and ensures all our Picusers feel the value of People & Culture.
  • Be instrumental in delivering a first class employee experience from hiring to onboarding, talent management and development, and retention to offboarding.
  • Support the development of People & Culture initiatives and proactively partner with leaders to drive successful implementation, ensuring they have the People & Culture support they need for both themselves and their teams to thrive.
  • Enjoy being a true People & Culture generalist and able to balance delivery as Strategic Partner, Change Agent, Admin Expert and Employee Champion.
  • Fully utilize our HRIS, building workflows and automating where it makes sense.  Love data and developing reports to support projects and the VP, People & Culture in understanding the now and shaping the future by being able to make intelligent business decisions.

What you bring


  • Strong Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and Social quotient (SQ)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and highly proficient in both spoken and written Turkish and English
  • Ability to make everyone feel listened to and valued
  • Strong strategic, operational and delivery capability as a true generalist
  • Project and event planning experience
  • Meticulous, good attention to detail and numbers 
  • Self-motivated with a positive “can-do” high contribution attitude and high learning agility 
  • Passion for building and growing in a fast-paced agile working environment
  • Experience within a start up/scale up high-tech organization preferred
  • 2+ years in a People & Culture lead position
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related fields, Master’s degree is a plus
  • Located in, or close to, Ankara or Istanbul with flexibility to travel and a love for socializing
  • Growth mindset and never stop learning!
