Hypemasters is a fast-growing game development company that creates cutting-edge mobile & PC games focusing on innovation, creativity, and engaging gameplay. We are seeking a talented 4X Product Director to join our team and drive the evolution of our strategy gaming experiences to new heights.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development of a new 4X game from pre-production through to release, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and goals. Collaborate closely with the leadership team to define the creative direction, gameplay mechanics, and feature set of the game. Build and manage a high-performing team creating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and adherence to quality standards. Oversee the creation and implementation of game systems, mechanics, and content, continually iterating and refining based on player feedback and market trends. Champion the game within the company and to external partners, effectively communicating its vision, progress, and key milestones. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities, leveraging insights to inform decision-making and enhance the game's competitive positioning. Possess a deep understanding of economic systems within 4X games and the ability to configure and balance in-game economies to ensure engaging gameplay experiences.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with a primary focus on designing meta-game systems. Deep understanding of the 4X genre, including its mechanics, gameplay dynamics, and player expectations. Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor diverse teams to achieve ambitious goals. Strong project management expertise, including the ability to develop and execute comprehensive project plans, manage budgets, and mitigate risks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a willingness to push the boundaries of traditional game design.
