About the job Accountant

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Middle-Level Accountant to join our finance department. As a Middle-Level Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional to contribute to the financial success of our organization within the dynamic setting of a water adventure park.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and budget forecasts to provide insights to management.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Assist in preparing for audits and liaise with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the finance department.
  • Assist in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of [X] years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the hospitality or entertainment industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software applications (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
