Job Description

Curriculum and course design


  • Preparing syllabi, lessons, and examination papers for theoretical parts of conversion and refresher courses and primer courses for all participants
  • Preparing and updating CNS training manuals to meet requirements of specific courses or individual students on an ad hoc basis in accordance with requirements.
  • Design / create the development and continuation of training programs for CNS personnel (Site Specific & External Training).
  • Developing yearly Emergency Continuation courses to meet requirements as laid down in the UAE CARs and presenting these courses to all operational staff as part of the competency program.

Planning and Organizing


  • Prepare and implement a Progress Check and Assessment plan to ensure that trainees are provided with optimum training as per the requirements of CARs
  • Ensure all documentation required to run training programs as per schedule is in place and ensure facilities and infrastructure are available to run training programs
  • Maintain and track specific Competency programs for relevant CNS staff.
  • Ensure documentation of training plans and progress for all relevant trainees, leading up to and including certification/Currency and/or endorsement.
  • Administer the provision of operational training and non-operational trainings for all relevant stakeholders/staff/ instructors .. etc.
  • Administer the provision of non-operational training for specific CNS support staff
  • Plan CNS- required training courses as per CARs and ICAO requirements (HF, ECT, ATSEP Assessor/OJTI, etc.)
  • Assist in the Ad-Hoc CNS course request
  • Coordinate with the business unit and relevant stakeholders in order to support the CNS Nationalization Program
  • Assist in the development of procedures and processes and are regularly updated to maintain compliance with the latest GCAA and ICAO regulatory requirements as well as implementing operational and safety related safety-related improvements.

LMS


  • Develop, upload, and update CNS courses/exams in LMS while ensuring monitoring learner’s journey and evaluation through the system and managing the reports and analyzing the data.

Training Delivery


  • Train, develop, and validate CNS staff to the as per the required GCAA standard.
  • Provide training to participants through “classroom” and OTJ training within stipulated guidelines and timelines
  • Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet GCAA requirements and quality standards.

Infrastructure readiness


  • Ensure that all equipment and training facilities are functional to facilitate participants learning in the most appropriate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services, and a responsible environmental attitude as per IMS available standards.

Performance development and evaluation of participants


  • Assess performance and test results in with respect to written/oral exams and preparing prepare progress reports in accordance with GCAA regulations.
  • Carry out Periodic Proficiency Checking as Unit Examiner on all CNS Senior Engineers, Engineers, Senior Technicians, OJTIs, and Examiners in both theoretical knowledge and practical performance at regular intervals as determined by the GCAA.
  • Responsible for providing participants with necessary development courses to further develop their careers.
  • Carry out periodic interviews with Supervisors, Deputy Supervisors, and OJTIs on the progress of students undergoing operational training.

Report Writing


  • Ensure that training reports and OJT logbook are maintained and updated on a regular basis
  • Provide reports related to ANST section and student performance to the Assistant Manager CNS Training for decision making decision-making as required
  • Monitor and evaluate learner performance and generate analytical reports and data analysis 

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures


  • Recommend improvements to departmental policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of Training activity so that all relevant procedural /legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.

Reporting


  • Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet GCAA requirements and quality standards.

Health, Safety and Environment within GCAA 


  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude as per IMS available standards

Other Tasks/ Accountability 


  • Perform additional tasks relevant to the role / area of expertise as requested by the management to be able to achieve the objectives/commitments.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:


  • A degree from a recognized university, or hold/held a CAA verified license with 5 years’ experience in a relevant discipline or field. 
  • Standard Operating Procedures based on ICAO and/or similar Administrative standards, recommended practices and procedures.
