JOB PURPOSE
Under supervision, to manage transactions and provide legal advice to the business to assist the mitigation of legal risk.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
1. Group Head - To shape the strategy and goals of the legal team
2. Line Manager/Peers - To fulfill instructions from colleagues to support team requirements.
To provide updates on day to day activity, advise of material issues, queries and changes

3. Business and Support Units - To provide legal advice, receive and discuss instructions.
4. External Law Firms - To ensure transactions managed by external lawyers are dealt with in an appropriate manner in line with ADCB policies and Business Units instructions
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Legal Advice
Using professional expertise and experience, provide advice to the business on the legal implications of commercial decisions and transaction structures to assist mitigation of legal risk under the supervision of Legal Counsel
Transaction Management
Manage simple transactions by liaising with external counsel and the Documentation Unit (if required) and the business to achieve commercial aims.
Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures
Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders
