Job Description

  1. Assisting registered nurses and medical staff in providing patient care.
  2. Helping patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  3. Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
  4. Assisting with patient mobility, including transferring and positioning patients safely.
  5. Administering medications under the direction and supervision of registered nurses.
  6. Providing basic medical treatments, such as wound care, dressing changes, and catheter care.
  7. Assisting in the collection of specimens for laboratory testing.
  8. Maintaining patient records and documentation accurately and confidentially.
  9. Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  10. Assisting in maintaining a clean and organized patient care environment.
  11. Following infection control protocols and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients and staff.
  12. Participating in patient care conferences and contributing to care planning as appropriate.
  13. Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
  14. Participating in ongoing training and professional development activities.
  15. Adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulations related to nursing practice and patient care.


Skills

  1. Nursing assistant certification or completion of a nursing assistant training program preferred.
  2. Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients.
  3. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  6. Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that require lifting and bending.
  7. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  8. Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  9. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
  10. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  11. CPR certification may be required.
  12. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
