Job Summary

Procure raw, packaging and indirect materials, services & CapEx at optimum prices to deliver business a competitive edge by implementing of purchase processes & systems and ensuring strong internal customer orientation & a robust supplier relationship

Roles & Responsibilities

• Buy materials as per business requirements and ensure continuous supply of materials (right quantity at right quality & right price) to all Business Units. Help framing Procurement Strategies to deliver Supply Chain objectives.
• Get involved in ‘Cost Optimization’ Group practices and material budget preparation.
• Ensure implementation of procurement processes and systems and work on improvement plans.
• Spend management of key categories under guidance of Purchase Manager. Leverage on Group procurement buying. 
• Help developing ‘Vendor Performance Rating’ mechanism and share with the vendors and plan improvement through VPIC and Supplier Coordination meeting
• Directly interact with key suppliers and maintain positive and effective business relationships with them in line with the business strategies.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and ensure spend within budget
• Ensure strong Internal Customer Relationship while dealing with various business stakeholders.
• Building a high-performing team

Work experience requirement

5 – 8 years of work experience in Food FMCG sector

Qualification

• Engineering / equivalent education. 
• MBA / Materials Management
• Preference to candidates with experience in Engineering departments.
