Job Description: Coffee Machine Technician


Position Overview: The Coffee Machine Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of coffee machines used in various settings, including cafes, restaurants, offices.This position involves installing, repairing, and servicing coffee machines, as well as providing technical support and training to customers and colleagues. The role requires strong mechanical skills, technical knowledge of coffee machine systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to customers.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Installation and Setup:


    • Install and set up coffee machines at customer locations, ensuring proper placement, connection to water and power sources, and calibration of settings.
    • Conduct initial testing and quality checks to verify that the machine is functioning correctly and producing the desired coffee quality.
  2. Maintenance and Repair:


    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on coffee machines, including cleaning, descaling, and replacing worn or faulty parts.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with coffee machines, such as malfunctioning pumps, heating elements, or brewing mechanisms.
    • Conduct repairs and adjustments to restore coffee machines to optimal performance, following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
  3. Technical Support:


    • Provide technical support and assistance to customers over the phone, via email, or in person, troubleshooting issues and offering solutions to resolve problems.
    • Educate customers on proper usage, maintenance, and care of their coffee machines, including tips for optimizing performance and prolonging lifespan.
  4. Inventory Management:


    • Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies needed for servicing coffee machines, ensuring adequate stock levels to support repair and maintenance activities.
    • Order replacement parts and supplies as needed, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
  5. Training and Documentation:


    • Train customers and staff members on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of coffee machines, either individually or through group training sessions.
    • Document service activities, including repairs performed, parts replaced, and maintenance tasks completed, using appropriate forms or digital systems.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in appliance repair, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a technician servicing coffee machines or similar equipment, with a strong understanding of espresso machines, drip brewers, and other types of coffee equipment.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues related to coffee machines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical individuals.
