Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer
Reduction of labour requirements and costs through automation Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineering Define appropriate instrumentation for production and process control (temperature, pressure, level, weight, flow, motion measurement), Develop evaluations, drawings, analyses, and procedures to document new designs, Implement PLC-based process control and instrumentation package, Lead the design and development of new Control Systems, Upgrade, test and maintain existing systems, Define the utilities capacity requirements for new equipment. Manage the group machinery upgrade projects, Implement a corporate wide ICS and SCADA vision with guidelines and directives. Coordinate and Direct activities of vendors and internal personnel in installation of new equipment, Provide a comprehensive system overview and detailed planning for upgrading control systems, including full SCADA diagnostics. Identify upgrade project deliverables, define requirements, create design documents, and contribute to design reports, Provide technical and plant support roles for the internal/external teams to supplement capital project work, Prepare, review, and finalize cost estimates for new upgrade, Define scope of supply, acquire offers and negotiate the final cost. Ensure the provision of an optimal automation process that meets the design requirements, efficiency standards, and safety protocols of the company's systems. Rollout the successfully tested equipment and machine components in the group. Investigate electrical fire incidents and establish corrective and preventive actions, Conduct thorough investigations into electrical fire incidents and devise effective corrective and preventive actions to mitigate future risks. Collaborate closely with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Engineer to identify and prominently display safety requirements for each machine. Ensure strict adherence to pertinent safety, quality, and environmental control procedures and instructions throughout operations. 8 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation design, Automation Control and Support of manufacturing plants, Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, Digitalization and Industrial IoT, Hands-on experience with HMI and PLC programs, particularly TIA Portal, Unity Pro, WinCC and Citect SCADA (AVEVA), Experience with various Communication Protocols, particularly Modbus TCP/RTU, PROFINET/PROFIBUS, Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Kepware and OPC. Experience with various CNC models, particularly NUM, SIEMENS, GSK…, Proficiency in Process Control Instrumentation, Configuration, and Troubleshooting, Detail-oriented and process-oriented with strong problem resolution abilities; ability to use root cause analysis for troubleshooting. Advanced knowledge of industrial electrical systems, electronics, and field instrumentation. Extensive familiarity with Process Control Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SCADA systems, Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), and their associated communication protocols. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Experience with programming languages such as Visual Studio, Visual Basic, and VBA. Hands-on experience in CNC, PLC, and HMI programming. Experience serving as project manager for all ICS/SCADA projects within the company. Acts as the primary advisor on all ICS and SCADA matters. Familiarity with process temperature, pressure, flow, and level instrumentation. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs. Knowledge of plant and production equipment. Understanding of equipment used for machine erection. Effective communication with suppliers to obtain quality products according to specifications and deadlines. Proficiency in managing multiple team projects with multitasking objectives. Goal-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines consistently. Skilful in providing direction to project team members. Proficiency in English.
