Our company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in financial accounting and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial accounting, including preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, and reconciling bank statements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for analyzing financial data and providing recommendations to improve financial performance. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Responsibilities:
· Financial Reporting & Management: Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Monitor financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with budgets and forecasts.
· Accounts Receivable & Payable Management: Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems to ensure complete and accurate records of all moneys.
· Tax Compliance & Strategy: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, including VAT submissions. Develop and implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
· Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the annual budgeting process and prepare periodic forecasts to guide business decisions.
· Cash Flow Management: Manage the company's cash flow, including the preparation of cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.
· Audit & Internal Controls: Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit. Maintain an effective system of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
· Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate financial and operational processes for potential improvements and efficiencies.
. Day-to-day Tasks :
Preferred Candidate:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
A Master’s degree or professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA,CMA) is highly preferred.
· A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the automotive or distribution industry.
· Proficiency in financial ERP software (Microsoft D365 Business Central) and advanced skills in MS Excel.
· Strong understanding of GAAP and familiar with VAT regulations and reporting.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
