Job Description

Kearney Manager, Strategic Operations Practice (SOP)

Full-time

Middle East

Job description

As a manager at Kearney, you will be a key contributor to the growth and development of our strategic operations (SOP) practice as we offer honest advice and practical guidance to our clients.

Working alongside a dedicated and diverse set of people, you will work with our SOP clients to define and implement strategies that deliver both short-term results and longer-term competitiveness in this ever-changing market environment.

Through unique hands-on experiences, you will broaden your knowledge across a breadth of topics while developing relationships with clients and colleagues across the firm. With the freedom to be yourself and recognition for what you bring to the table, you can put your purpose into action and help build a future that works for everyone, everywhere — as a Kearney Original.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with clients across industries, defining and delivering solutions across a range of operations topics, including supply chain, procurement, industrial development, and manufacturing projects
  • Consult on and manage the day-to-day direction of client projects, ensuring work is continually on track, delivering clear benefit to the client in both the short and long term, and adhering to budgets and schedules while maintaining high utilization.
  • Demonstrate subject-matter expertise in strategy, operations, and/or organizational effectiveness
  • Contribute to the development of marketable points of view on business challenges, including the creation of intellectual capital.
  • Support strategic and tactical initiatives to identify, develop, and extend client relationships.
  • Mentor and apprentice junior colleagues, helping them hone and develop their professional skills and experience.
  • Participate in firm-building opportunities, e.g. recruiting, training, and mentoring.

Who you are

After nearly 100 years, we know this business is fundamentally about making connections— between facts, figures, insights, strategies, tools, technologies, and above all, people. That’s why we look for collaborative, insightful, and inquisitive problem-solvers who don’t accept the first thing in front of them and who are always unapologetically themselves.

We want to hear from you if you are:

  • Analytically inclined and enjoy solving problems
  • Able to prioritize and are a doer by nature
  • Comfortable leading teams and mentoring colleagues
  • Experienced as a manager (or equivalent) with experience in operations or related topics (Experience in management/strategic consulting is advantageous.)
  • Fluent in English and Arabic

What we can offer you

Every day, our people work to be the difference for our clients, our communities, and our colleagues. Helping them make an impact, they are sustained by a competitive remuneration package plus comprehensive benefits and perks, including but not limited to:

  • Generous retirement/pension savings contributions
  • Comprehensive medical insurance for employees and their families
  • Non-partner equity-based awards (for consulting managers and above)
  • Structured and on-the-job learning and development opportunities
  • Personalized opportunities including talent mobility, flexible work programs, and externships to help you chart a unique career journey to pursue your own personal and professional goals
