Lab Instructor - Networking

 We are seeking passionate Network Lab Instructors to guide aspiring network engineers or infrastructure engineers. The candidate will lead lab sessions and provide hands-on instruction in networking courses, and mentor students through assignments or projects. The candidate will foster a positive and collaborative learning environment that ignites a passion for learning with students.

In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable (e.g., CISCO CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+)

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
•  Preference is given to candidate with at least 3 years of industry experience as a network engineer or infrastructure engineer
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to engage and inspire students, as well as interact with people at all levels of an organization
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a multi-cultural environment
• The ability to cope with pressure in a positive manner while working to deadlines within a busy and demanding environment
• A demonstrated willingness to engage in professional development activities in order to improve current skills and acquire new skills, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization
• Previous teaching or instructional experience in a lab setting is advantageous.
• Support hands-on networking and cloud computing courses where students learn and apply networking and cloud computing concepts and principles. Focusing on student’s practical application and skill development.
• Provide personalized support during lab sessions, ensuring students grasp networking theories and can troubleshoot network configurations.
• Evaluate students’ lab work, including network setup and troubleshooting exercises, offer constructive feedback, and monitor progress.
• Ensure all networking hardware and software are current and operational.
• Provide one-on-one assistance to students during lab sessions, offering guidance and feedback to facilitate learning.
• Continuously learn about new networking technologies, protocols, and industry best practices.
• Work with colleagues to ensure lab activities complement theoretical lectures and course goals.
