Maintenance Supervisor

Job description is as follows:

The Maintenance Supervisor role is to lead the way in the continuous improvement of all production stages. To provide the

necessary electrical and mechanical multi-skilled expertise and support while ensuring smooth plant operation and

maintaining the physical assets of the company under the direction of the Maintenance Engineers.

Maintenance: Maintenance of plant activities (machines and equipment) including planning preventive and predictive

(Planned and unplanned) maintenance and corrective measure during breakdown of equipment. Ensure regular checks on

machinery and completion of all maintenance tasks as assigned.

Financial & Maintenance Planning and Troubleshooting. Financial budgeting, Designing and implementing preventive

maintenance system as per Computerized Maintenance Management System. Fault finding / problem solving of equipment

and machine break down. Plans, executes and implement all engineering projects.

Performance Review and Continuous Improvement: Trains associates, assign job as per skills, and monitors the performance

of the team. Ensures cost effective optimization practices are adhered to, creates Continuous Improvement culture and

implement Kaizen among staffs. Follow and maintain GMP, ISO, QMS, HACCP, 5-S’ and Work Safety standards. Adhere to

cost effective practices as well as continuous improvement and Kaizens.

Coordination & Communication: Assist Engineers and Production Supervisors in determining needs for equipment &

scheduling work following the work orders for all internal/external jobs. Ensure signing of the work orders and daily

accomplishment report of the technicians. Must meet with the Engineers daily to assess priorities and address/communicate

issues. Must ensure timely and proper communication of related issues with Production and Engineering Department.

Cost Reduction & Change Over. Support Engineers to minimize delays in production and optimum utilization of lines by

ensuring timely change over as per agreed SOP. To avoid financial loss of tea stocks by assuring correct calibration and setting

of all check weighers. Create awareness among colleagues of cost factor and contribute to plant’s cost reduction program. To

contribute to continuous reduction of cost by providing concrete technical solution and framework for change as a plant

including better management of utilities (air conditioning, lightning) minimizing wear and tear, loss and replacement of costly

parts, and avoid damage of machine parts and equipment.

Assistance in Internal & External Audit Compliances: Assist the Engineering Coordinator & Maintenance Engineers in the

Internal & External Audits. Complying on the NCRs. Provides preventive measures for the next audits. Compliance and

knowledge about QMS ISO 9001:2015, FSSC 22000:2017 V.4.1, EMS ISO 14001:2015, FSMA Registration, HACCP

Certification, HALAAL, KOSHER and Other External Bodies

Certifications/ Trainings Needed

Preferably with 50% Electrical and 50 % Mechanical experience. Should be able to understand

electro mechanical aspects of machine. Basic understanding Electrical panel wiring, switch gear,

transformer, breaker. Understanding of bearing, sprockets, chains, pump set, coupling &

conveyors. Occupational Safety Awareness. AutoCAD design and PLC Programming

skills/certifications

Behavioral Qualities/Traits

Should be flexible enough to Adjust to dynamics of Production Environment in FMCG. With

confidence to respond positively when under pressure. Should be able to perform in the High-

pressure situation due to Production plans. Highly organized and action orientated.
