Stantec is looking for a Planning Engineer to join our growing team Abu Dhabi.

The Planning Engineer will assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing the Contractor's Programme.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Project Planning & Scheduling strategy, plans and procedures in line with the proposal requirements.
• Develop preliminary schedules and identify project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and targets to determine the staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project through the project measurement system.
• Analyze monthly schedule submittals and prepare input into overall monthly Project reports consistent with the overall Project reporting system.
• Carry out Schedule Risk Analysis. Identify schedule slippages and potential slippages and develop and propose mitigation actions.
• Provide support to verify claimed monthly progress against invoices, variations and change orders.
• Work alongside Project Control function within the Project Management team, to ensure that project cost phasing is kept up to date in line with current forecasts.
• Anticipate and resolve any problems, bottlenecks/scheduling conflicts.

Qualifications
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Profession or an Engineering related field.
• 7 - 10 years relevant experience
• Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Demonstrable experience of liaison with consultants on multiple construction contracts
• Fluent in spoken and written English and able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• PMP Project Management Professional Certified
• The ability to manage a heavy workload, with a close attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills.
• A customer-focused approach, possessing impressive communication skills.
• The ability to work autonomously, reviewing your work on a regular basis while consistently meeting your objectives and the capabilities to meet tight deadlines.
• Committed to working with all levels of management on a daily and ongoing basis.
• A proactive approach, working effectively in co-ordinating activities and complex tasks, taking professional responsibility in all matters.
• Be of the highest calibre: punctual, attentive and competent in adhering to Stantec policies, procedures and working practices.
• A flexible approach to working hours and travel
