Job Purpose
Responsible for the end-to-end technology architecture of the systems supporting enablement & control functions (HR, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Legal). The Principal Architect Enablement & Control Functions will be accountable for assessing the current technology architecture, define the target state technology architecture, and work with our service lines to drive us towards our target state technology architecture. This person will have ultimate architecture responsibility for the modernization of our compliance and risk systems and will also be accountable to ensure the designs we adopt meet regulatory requirements in the most optimal way.
Key Accountabilities:
Assess and document the current technology architecture for the designed area
Work with other teams within Group Technology, DAAI and with business stakeholders to define the target state technology architecture for the designed area
Work with other teams within Group Technology, DAAI and with business stakeholders to define the roadmap to drive us towards our target state technology architecture
Deliver and review artifacts that set the standard for architecture excellence, including strategy documents, reference architectures, technical standards and design documents
Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience
Lead or contribute to multiple simultaneous product development efforts and/or technology initiatives
Assist in the career development of others by actively mentoring other members of FAB architecture and developer community on advanced technical issues
Accountable for the items listed above for FAB systems supporting enablement & control functions (HR, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Legal)
Lead from architecture perspective the implementation of cloud-based systems within enablement & control functions (HR, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Legal)
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of previous experience as Lead or Principal Enterprise Architect within multinational institutions, strong preference for previous experience in multinational financial services
Strong experience with platforms used by Compliance, Risk and Finance functions within financial services
Experience in building high-performance, highly available and scalable distributed systems running on AWS or Azure
Expert knowledge in reliability, performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices
At least 5 years leading large-scale software projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skill
Preferred Qualification:
Experience with Firco risk solutions and SAS AML solutions.
Experience with data platforms.
AWS or Azure solutions architect certified.
Experience with AWS EKS or Azure AKS based architectures
