Production Manager for Shipbuilding Company

Apt Resources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our client team for shipbuilding. The Production Manager in the Boat Manufacturing facility is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring the efficient and timely manufacture of boats while maintaining high-quality standards. This role involves managing production teams, implementing process improvements, and collaborating with other departments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet project timelines and customer requirements.
• Manage and coordinate the activities of the production team, including boat builders, technicians, and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in the production facility.
• Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as design and engineering, to ensure seamless workflow and successful boat construction.
• Manage inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each stage of boat construction.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Train and mentor production staff to improve skills and knowledge.
• Monitor and control production costs to meet budgetary targets.
• Report on production performance, including output, efficiency, and quality metrics.
