Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team for a prestigious construction project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with specific experience in building construction, palace, luxury hotels & villas projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project costs, from initial estimates to final accounts, to ensure projects are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for building construction, palace, luxury hotels & villas projects
• Prepare and submit tender documents, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitiveness and accuracy
• Monitor project costs and financial performance throughout the construction phase, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or variances
• Prepare interim valuations and progress reports for clients and stakeholders
• Manage contractual and commercial aspects of construction projects, including variations, claims, and final accounts
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost-effective project delivery
• Provide support and guidance to junior members of the quantity surveying team
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying and construction cost management

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• 3 to 4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on building construction, palace, luxury hotels & villas projects
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations and reporting
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to quantity surveying and construction contracts
