Talent Acquisition Manager - Middle East/Africa/KSA/Central Asia

We’re recruiting for a Talent Acquisition Manager, responsible for leading Talent Acquisition (TA) activities within the region, including the Africa, Middle East, KSA & Central Asia.


Role Overview


The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for leading and continually developing all Talent Acquisition (TA) activities within the AMEWA region. The TA Manager role is a crucial part of the Talent Acquisition Leadership Team, requiring close collaboration with Business Line HR Leaders throughout the region.


Role responsibilities


The TA Manager is accountable for delivering TA activities within their assigned scope. This position adopts a 'Player/Manager' approach, emphasizing strategic involvement in providing expert TA advice, leading a team of TA Partners, providing decision-making support, and offering market intelligence and insight.


The TA Manager is expected to handle a limited requisition load and successfully fulfil critical business requisitions. Serves as a primary owner of TA delivery within AMEWA scope and is responsible for ensuring the successful recruitment of all categories of hires (Full Time, Fixed Term, Contingent/Contract, Graduate, Intern, Apprentice, and Executive). To achieve this, proactive management and leadership of TA Partners are essential.


The TA Manager role is a crucial part of the Talent Acquisition Leadership Team, requiring close collaboration with Business Line HR Leaders throughout the region. They are responsible for implementing transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring their practical adoption by TA Partners and enabling the delivery of best-in-class results for the group


Leadership


In partnership, Implement, communicate and drive the Thales Global TA Strategy including influencing key stakeholders within set perimeter at all to adopt new processes, tools and behaviours.


Lead and manage a group of Talent Acquisition Partners nationally to ensure desired functional metrics are achieved within perimeter of role.


Provide coaching, mentoring and guidance to all TA Partners within set perimeter and a wider group of stakeholders (HR VP’s/Directors, Heads of HR etc.) as required.


Customer Relationship Management / Resource Planning


Promote new EVP with key audiences helping to ensure that Thales is well placed at all times.


Ensure employer brand integrity is upheld at all times through active management of activities and adherence to Thales Brand Guidelines.


Partner with Business Leaders, members to help ensure that all required Early Careers activities are delivered. Seek feedback from key business stakeholders on Early Careers requirements from within set perimeter and feed this back into wider Early Careers strategy discussions


Transformation


Support the deployment of the New Thales Talent Acquisition model across the AMEWA region thereby ensuring that Thales has the right people, in the right place, at the right time to execute its strategy.


Develop TA Partner capability to ensure that a “Direct Sourcing” is embedded across the AMEWA and that a hunting approach is used at all times. This is to be achieved through Proactive TA Partner coaching and leading by example.


Own the Hiring Manager Experience within set perimeter, provide coaching them through the head hunting process, their role within it, creating appropriate target lists and a compelling value proposition to sell to passive candidates.


Personally coach, guide and mentor individual TA Partners on a daily basis to drive collective outcomes. Assist with the deployment of all TA Evolution project activities within the set perimeter and drive adoption of new model with key audiences and team members.


Skills, experience and qualifications required


Proven success at developing, mentoring and managing high performing TA teams.


Extensive background from the Talent Acquisition (In-House & Search) space ideally from a large multinational.


Experience managing local & remote team members in a complex matrix environment.


Experience utilizing social media, employer review sites, and other platforms to enhance employer brand visibility.


Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A relevant master's degree would be a plus. Professional certifications in talent acquisition or human resources management are desirable.


Strong knowledge of local employment laws and regulations in the Middle East are essential.


Desirable


Proficiency in utilizing Workday and CRM tools to effectively manage and track recruitment activities, ensuring the integrity and timeliness of data for reporting and analysis purposes.
