Purpose of the Job
The purpose of this role is to operate passenger coaches and staff buses or other transport vehicles to provide transportation for passengers, crew, VIPâs and staff, ensuring a safe compliant and effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• To ensure Sharjah Aviation Services vehicles are operated is a safe and competent manner in compliance with Sharjah Aviation Services, Customer airlines and the regulators procedures.
• To ensure all Airport Authority Emergency orders are adhered to, as required.
• Ensuring that all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to and the reporting of those that are not.
• To perform inspection of allocated buses and other transport vehicles for any defect or damage. Notify Transport Resource Controller about any defects or damages and ensure that unserviceable units are taken offline and sent to GSE and VM, and all relevant defect reporting is completed and submitted correctly.
• To ensure the allocated buses and other transport vehicles are serviceable and clean. If required perform the fuelling and oil top ups.
• To ensure that required Traffic police documents, vehicle registration and airport entry gate pass are secured in the vehicle for any required checks.
• To provide transportation for crew, passengers and VIPs as instructed by Transport Resource Controller/AOM
• To report immediately to Transport Resource Controller any internal or external accidents or incidents. Obtain accident or incident report from traffic police for external accidents/ incidents.
• To ensure that no endorsement shall be made on the vehicle registration book.
• To adhere to Sharjah Aviation Services uniform and grooming standards at all times
• To ensure that all services provided are recorded and sent to Data Entry for recharge
• To carry out other duties as appropriate in support of the business activities of Sharjah Aviation Services.
• To oversee and assist with passenger boarding/disembarkation of buses paying special attention on the safety while in the vicinity of aircraft
• To bring to the Transport Controllers attention any areas that require improvements in handling processes so as to make them more effective and with better quality of service delivery
• Escorting of staff on a temporary pass.
• Ensuring company procedures, discipline and performance are met.
• Ensuring Airport Safety and Security requirements are adhered too
• To ensure that all competency certificate and any other training records are current as per the airport/company regulations and procedures
• Representing The Company in a professional manner.
• Adhere to the company Safety Compliance Policy, Security Policy and Health and Safety Policy.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Relevant licenses to operate coasters, heavy and light buses
• Good command of English language
Experience
At least 1 year experience in related field
