Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced mechanic with strong electrical skills to join our team at JA Marina Workshop. The ideal candidate will be proficient in computer diagnostics, possess excellent teamwork abilities, and have a passion for teaching and mentoring others on the job.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of marine vessels.
Utilize computer diagnostic systems (CDS) to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
Conduct electrical repairs and installations on marine equipment and systems.
Work collaboratively with a team of mechanics and technicians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior mechanics and apprentices.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and services performed using computer-based systems.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a marine mechanic with strong electrical skills.
Proficiency in using computer diagnostic systems (CDS) for troubleshooting and repairs.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to teach and mentor junior team members.
Computer literate with experience in maintaining digital records and reports.
Relevant certifications or vocational training in mechanics and electrical systems is preferred.
