Responsible for Maintaining existing business-critical application databases and backup/recovery.
Maintenance and installation of Oracle Databases / Oracle Applications on Oracle Solaris / Linux / Windows Platforms.
Managing Microsoft SQL Databases, having knowledge of Always On High Availability and Backup/recovery scenarios.
Periodical upgrade/patching of Application & Database.
Based on Security / Vulnerability fixes & Critical Bug fixes.
Manage Operating systems Solaris, Linux, and Windows in terms of Capacity, performance tuning, and security.
Maintaining Integration between On-Premises applications and Cloud Applications with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) services.
Manage Storage Oracle Exadata, Oracle ZFS, DELL EMC SAN storages, and perform proactive maintenance activities to ensure High availability.
Deal with Online Service Requests with Oracle, and DELL for any issues affecting the business environments.
Manage and deploy applications on the WebLogic server.
Facilitates accessibility of Business applications, such as Oracle ERP R12 / EPM / OBIEE /Maximo, and made available on End-user desktops.
Resolves user access/oracle client issues.
Performance tuning and object migration from Non-Prod environments.
Responsible for backup/recovery scheduling and record keeping.
Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required.
Maintain DRP setups, and periodically test the scenarios.
Cloning of Oracle ERP applications and Database.
Perform database-related activities through the definition, execution, and review of processes, tools, guidelines, and quality systems applied to task management & documentation.
Carry out database-related status reporting and tablespace maintenance.
Evaluate, test, and implement DB software & patches following defined processes/procedures.
Implement, test, and document database migration procedures.
Monitor Database/systems logs.
Fine Tunes all Databases.
Implements and acts in accordance with the organization’s information security policies.
Protects assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interface.
Executes particular security processes or activities.
Reports security events or potential events or other security risks to Database Manager.
Ensures to complete IT service requests on time and meet priorities.
Follows IT standards policies to complete assigned tasks and document changes.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing client issues with respect to Oracle client and browser related.
Communicates technical issues and problem resolution information to Manager.
Accountable to communicate technical issues and problem-resolution information to Manager and end users.
Performs clear written communications through report writing and work plans.
Performs any duty assigned by the line.
Processes any cross-training as mandated by the line.
Alternates for colleagues when requested by the management.
Comply with Health, Safety, and Environment regulations and working practices of KDD and the State of Kuwait when carrying out duties.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science and Oracle DBA Certification / Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certification are required.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Oracle Database Environment or Oracle Cloud OCI.
