The Wood Factory Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of production in our wood factory. This includes overseeing the manufacturing process, managing staff, ensuring quality control, and meeting production targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, proven leadership skills, and the ability to optimize production processes for efficiency and quality his main responsibilities :
● Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategic plans to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the factory, aligning with [Insert Company Name]'s overall business goals.
● Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of production, including planning, scheduling, manufacturing, and shipping, to ensure smooth and efficient factory operations.
● Quality Control and Assurance: Implement strict quality control processes to meet and exceed industry standards, conducting regular quality assessments and adjustments as needed.
● Staff Management and Development: Lead, manage, and develop a diverse team through effective recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management strategies to build a high-performance work culture.
● Safety and Compliance: Ensure the factory complies with all health and safety regulations, creating a safe workplace environment. Regularly review and update safety protocols and conduct safety drills.
● Cost Management: Monitor and control factory expenses, including materials, labor, and overhead costs, to ensure production is cost-effective and within budget.
● Equipment and Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of factory equipment to ensure operational efficiency, including scheduling regular inspections and managing maintenance staff
● Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvements and technologies to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
● Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate supplies are available for production while minimizing excess stock.
● Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and company leadership, to ensure alignment and address any issues promptly.
● Environmental Sustainability: Promote sustainable practices within the factory operations, seeking ways to reduce waste, improve energy efficiency, and minimize environmental impact.
● Market Awareness: Stay informed about market trends, customer needs, and advancements in woodworking technology to adapt and innovate production processes and product offerings.
● Crisis Management: Develop and implement contingency plans for potential production issues, supply chain disruptions, or other emergencies to minimize impact on factory operations.
● Bachelor's degree in Wood Science, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field.
● Minimum of 5 years' experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the wood industry.
● English Language Proficiency.
● Strong understanding of wood products manufacturing processes and machinery.
● Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
● Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
● Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards specific to the woodworking industry.
● Proficient in production planning and inventory management.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
