Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

Note: this position is for our client, and they are located in Abu Dhabi

Responsibilities:

• Distribute the Desktops & Laptops to client's users as per the assigned plan and do the data migration from existing Desktops/laptops to new unit's onsite.
• Manage & support client's end-user desktop hardware (including desktop computers and printers) and standard desktop applications (including Microsoft office applications, virus protection, and network security)
• Provide support assistance for resolving issues assigned by the Helpdesk in coordination with the internal team.
• Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, Scanners, and other end-user peripherals.
• Create alternative methods of completing tasks, software deployments, correcting user errors and system inconsistencies to improve the desktop team function.
• Responsible to maintain inventory of all Desktop equipment's & Peripherals and Participate in hardware and software inventories.
• Work with hardware and software vendors to follow-up with the reported issues.
• Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, rcomputer conferencing systems, application severs and administrative systems.
• Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences and procedures for upgrades.
• Monitor the performance of the client's desktop infrastructure and make suggestions for improving efficiency.
• Troubleshooting of hardware and software for PCs & Peripherals. And upgrade of PC hardware components such as increase of memory or hard disk size.
• Upgrade of operating systems and applications such as Windows, Office and other client's applications.
• Support resources to have knowledge and technical understanding of infrastructure Servers, Operations Systems, Web Applications, Databases, Network, and End Point Security.
