Job description

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing activities.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in requirements analysis and provide feedback to improve testability and product quality.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and testing frameworks where applicable.
  • Validate APIs, databases, and system integrations.
  • Perform performance, usability, and compatibility testing when required.
  • Analyze test results and prepare quality metrics, reports, and recommendations.
  • Support release activities, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and post-production validation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, testing standards, and quality assurance processes.
Non-Technical Responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality concerns to stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor junior team members and share best practices when applicable.
  • Promote a quality-first mindset across the development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for deliverables and testing outcomes.
RequirementsMust Have
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience in manual testing methodologies and defect management processes.
  • Knowledge of test case design techniques and testing best practices.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or Zephyr.
  • Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding of regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing.
  • Experience in preparing test plans, test scenarios, and test reports.
