Job Description
We are currently seeking an organized, reliable, detail and service-oriented warehouse supervisor to join our growing team. In this position, you will monitor warehouse inventory as well as manage warehouse staff to ensure that heavy equipment. Fixed Furniture and other products are stored and shipped out in an accurate, efficient manner. Previous warehouse experience is a MUST.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a store, making sure it runs smoothly & effectively.
- Coordinate and oversee all warehouse logistics
- Track and account for all incoming and outgoing fixed Furniture and equipment ‘FF&E’ and Small Operating Equipment ‘SOE’
- Confirm proper and timely delivery of requested items.
- Perform various inventory counts; report damages and send orders of short-stock items.
- Supervise and direct warehouse staff; put worker safety as a top priority.
- Maintain warehouse and machinery, ensuring equipment is serviced when needed and a clean and tidy workspace is kept at all times
- Maintain shipping documentation, manifests, and receipts; enter relevant data in reports as needed
- Ensure that shipment materials match packing lists before dispatching orders
- Assist in the hiring and training process of new warehouse staff
- Ensure proper transport, packaging, and placement of items
- Motivate and lead warehouse staff to effectively carry out given tasks
- Abide by and enforce facility rules and country laws and regulations
- Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning in order to create a more efficient fulfillment system
Skills
Education, Qualifications & Experiences
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business management or related field preferred
- Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse position in Hotel business Environment or similar/relevant fields.
- Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Suite and data entry systems
- Physical stamina, able to work long hours on one's feet and lift 50+ pounds
- Excellent organization and efficient time-management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have the ability to anticipate and solve problems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
