Executes relevant EHS activities in line with clear policies and procedures at the site/EHS discipline; in order to minimise EHS risks. Entry level professional. May be working towards a professional EHS qualification e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent. Participates in small local projects.

JOB PURPOSE


This position is responsible for providing specialist EHS support to Plant activities and personnel. The holder Is dedicated to one EHS related discipline based upon the risk profile of the site. Reporting into the Plant EHS Manager team, the holder provides expertise in a particular area such as Occupational Health, Process Safety, Chemical Safety Environmental Management, Emergency response etc. The holder has a deep technical understanding of their EHS discipline and advises Plant Management on compliance. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Providing Management with specialist advise on requirements relating to their specific EHS discipline.
  • Ensuring all related legal and JM requirements are understood and communicate effectively to all relevant personnel.
  • Ensuring site processes and procedures are in place to address all relevant requirements.
  • Proving specialist training to relevant personnel in the EHS discipline focusing on both compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Acting as the Plant point of contact for communication with external stakeholders (e.g. Regulators, customers, suppliers, industry bodies, Medical providers)
  • Liaising with Group Specialists on behalf of the plant ensuring group requirements are understood and site performance reported.

SCOPE


  • The CA Process Safety Specialist will be the key member of the EHS team with full responsibility and accountability of all activity within the area of Manesar & Bawal sites of CA India, pertaining to process Safety

SPECIAL FACTORS


  • This role is based within a Manufacturing Plant
  • The role may require occasional travel to other locations (potentially both national and international), for example for meetings or training.
  • Two days mandatory presence at Manesar and three days presence at Bawal

PERSON SPECIFICATION


QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE


(TECHNICAL/ PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS COMPETENCY)


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/professional degree in EHS - Essential
  • 8 Years+ experience in a manufacturing environment having led production areas in automotive and or Chemical companies - Essential
  • Substantial experience in working effectively in complex Matrix organizations - Essential
  • Significant experience in building and maintaining positive customer relationships - Essential
  • Exposure to systems like 5S, Kaizen, Problem Solving Tools - Desirable
  • Exposure to System like TS16949 and ISO14001 and OHSAS 18000 - Desirable
  • Having led one or two large support functions outside the area of technical expertise - Desirable
