This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Experience: 3+ yrs Location: Hyderabad Job Type: full-time We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with experience in AWS and Kubernetes to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing L3 support, managing container platforms, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and driving automation initiatives.
This role requires strong expertise in Amazon EKS, Terraform, networking, and CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities Provide L3 support and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes (EKS) environments.
Upgrade and maintain EKS clusters following industry best practices.
Configure and manage AWS accounts, VPCs, and hybrid connectivity between AWS and on-premises environments.
Troubleshoot networking issues involving Transit Gateway (TGW), VPC Peering, and cloud connectivity.
Participate in on-call support for critical customer escalations during US business hours.
Develop and maintain automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code tools.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Argo CD, and Jenkins.
Manage container platforms and implement deployment best practices.
Create and maintain SOPs and knowledge repositories to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive cloud transformation initiatives.
Implement process improvements and ensure adherence to operational standards.
Required Skills 3–7 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Amazon EKS (Kubernetes) and container platforms.
Good understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and ELB.
Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.
Expertise in CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Argo CD, and Jenkins .
Hands-on experience with Docker, Helm Charts, Vault, and container image management .
Experience with automation using Shell scripting or Python (Boto3) .
Knowledge of pod autoscaling, deployment strategies, and enterprise-grade automation.
Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and container technologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline.
AWS and Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
