You will be part of a growing hub of Salesforce‑aligned engineers in Pune, working within multi‑disciplinary squads that deliver business solutions to Mobility & Convenience Americas. As an Enterprise Technology Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Senior Engineers, Product Managers, Architects, Security teams and delivery partners to design, build and operate Salesforce‑based solutions. You will contribute hands‑on to solution delivery while learning bp’s enterprise standards, platforms and ways of working, gradually building breadth and depth across Salesforce and adjacent technologies.

Under the guidance of Staff Product Manager and Staff Enterprise Technology Engineer, The Enterprise Technology Engineer plays a key role in designing and delivering Salesforce solutions that support bp’s critical business and customer journeys. Working within established architectural, security and platform guardrails, you will contribute to building reliable, secure and scalable solutions while developing strong engineering fundamentals.


You will be responsible for implementing features, integrations and configurations with a strong focus on quality, testability and operational readiness. With guidance from senior engineers and architects, you will help ensure that solutions are delivered using agile and DevOps practices and can be optimally supported in production.

What you will deliver


High‑Quality Solution Delivery


  • Builds and enhances Salesforce solutions that meet functional, technical and non‑functional requirements.


  • Contributes to secure, reliable and maintainable implementations that align with bp engineering and platform standards.


  • Takes accountability for quality in the areas you deliver, including testing and defect resolution.


Engineering Discipline & Agile Delivery


  • Applies agile and DevOps practices to deliver work iteratively and transparently within squads.


  • Writes clean, well‑structured code and configuration that is easy to understand, test and support.


  • Supports incident resolution and operational activities to ensure stable platform performance.


Collaboration & Learning


  • Works optimally with Product Managers, designers and senior engineers to understand requirements and design intent.


  • Learns from architecture and design reviews, incorporating feedback to improve solutions.


  • Collaborates with peers and delivery partners to meet sprint and release commitments.


Continuous Improvement & Capability Building


  • Continuously develops Salesforce and engineering skills through hands‑on delivery and ongoing learning.


  • Contributes ideas that improve solution quality, performance or delivery efficiency.


  • Begins contributing to documentation, patterns and shared assets within the engineering community.


What you will need to be successful


At this level, the Enterprise Technology Engineer demonstrates strong foundational engineering skills combined with a willingness to learn and grow in a sophisticated enterprise environment. You are comfortable working on defined problem areas, taking ownership of assigned components and delivering them with quality and care.


You are expected to follow established standards and practices while developing the judgment to understand why those guardrails exist. You communicate clearly with team members, raise risks early and are open to feedback that helps improve outcomes.


Success in this role involves steadily increasing technical confidence, understanding platform impacts beyond individual features, and building the behaviours required to progress towards senior enterprise engineering roles.


Preferred experience:


  • 3–6 years of professional experience in software development, with hands‑on experience on Salesforce platforms.


  • Practical experience with Salesforce configuration and development, including Sales Cloud. Exposure to Service Cloud, CPQ or RLM is advantageous.


  • Experience working in agile delivery teams, contributing to sprints, releases and production support.


  • Foundational understanding of integration, data and security concepts in enterprise systems.


  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly within the team and document work optimally.


  • Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer or equivalent certifications are desirable.
