● Detailed planning and execution of IT- implementations

● Detailed knowledge of relevant SAP and non-SAP technologies (e.g. databases, software stacks and

infrastructure components)

● Implements and supports the operation of technical system landscapes

● Supports setup and connectivity of integrated system landscapes (OnPremise, Cloud and Hybrid), applying

state-of-the-art methodologies

● IT process implementation across all related IT-components

● IT components-specific expert consulting

● Support for system optimization

● Support for solution proposals and bid management

● Delivers customer workshops and trainings

● Taking over responsibility from time to time as a (sub-)project lead

● Takes responsibility from time to time as team lead and supports respective line manager(s) in people

development tasks

1. Solution Design: Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand

requirements and translate them into technical designs. This involves creating

blueprints for SAP solutions that align with the organization's goals and

processes.

2. Architecture Planning: Defining the overall architecture of SAP systems,

including modules like SAP ECC (ERP Central Component), SAP S/4HANA,

SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management), SAP BW (Business

Warehouse), SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration), and

others. They determine how these modules interact with each other and with

external systems.

3. Technical Leadership: Providing technical leadership and guidance to

development teams throughout the project lifecycle. This includes mentoring

team members, resolving technical issues, and ensuring adherence to best

practices and standards.

4. System Integration: Overseeing the integration of SAP systems with other

enterprise applications, databases, and third-party systems. This involves

designing interfaces, data mappings, and integration patterns to ensure

seamless communication between different systems.

5. Performance Optimization: Identifying performance bottlenecks in SAP

systems and implementing optimization techniques to improve system

responsiveness and scalability. This may involve tuning SAP configurations,

optimizing database queries, and implementing caching strategies.

6. Security: Ensuring the security of SAP systems by implementing appropriate

authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms. They also define

security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and prevent

unauthorized access.

7. Governance and Compliance: Ensuring that SAP implementations comply with

industry regulations and internal governance policies. This involves conducting

regular audits, implementing controls, and maintaining documentation to

demonstrate compliance.

8. Technical Evaluation: Evaluating new SAP technologies, tools, and

methodologies to assess their suitability for the organization's needs. They stay

updated with the latest advancements in SAP ecosystem and recommend

solutions that can drive innovation and efficiency.

9. Vendor Management: Collaborating with SAP vendors and partners to procure

licenses, support services, and consulting expertise. They manage vendor

relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure that vendors deliver value in line

with contractual agreements.

10. Troubleshooting and Support: Providing technical support and troubleshooting

assistance for SAP systems in production. They investigate and resolve

incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to

minimize downtime and disruptions.
