Job Description


In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the Principal Flow Trading stream based in Hong Kong as part of the Equity Derivatives Quoting team.  You will be part of a global development team, working closely with the front office to build out and support automated electronic trading applications. 


Technical Skills (Must Have)


Java, Domain Expertise-Trading platforms experience (Warrants / Listed Options / Futures / Market Making & specifics of market links)

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee projects, drive deliveries and fully hands-on designing and implement high quality technical solutions to handle latency-sensitive trading algorithms.
  • Design, develop and support front-office trading applications, working closely with business users to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into innovative solutions
  • Apply a broad range of software engineering practices to ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions, focusing on both functional and non-functional needs
  • Work closely with the global team to further develop and innovate the Quoting applications - building observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
  • Sharing knowledge and technical expertise, excellent team player with experience leading or mentoring more junior colleagues, contributing regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities

Primary skills:


  • Experience working in a front office environment, and comfortable facing off to the business
  • Ideally 8+ years of experience in a similar position or domain
  • Familiarity with this business domain, and real time trading platforms experience (Warrants / Listed Options / Futures / Market Making & specifics of market links) are an advantage
  • Sufficiently advanced Java expertise as well as the interest in learning new technologies and practices
  • Demonstrated the ability to work effectively and potentially juggle several tasks simultaneously
  • The ability to adapt quickly to new challenges, like changes to business requirements on a daily basis
  • Candidates will have a working familiarity with current AI development tooling, preferably including GitHub Copilot, in order to advance our AI-first development initiatives. 

Secondary skills


  • Ready to work from office (3 days/week)
  • An excellent communicator with strong internal client relationship skills
  • Strong planning skills, well-organized and can work well under pressure
  • Experience with prompt engineering, generative AI platforms, and the proven ability to integrate AI into existing business workflows is highly desirable.
